Ross County v Celtic: predicted XI for Highlands clash

Celtic face Ross County this afternoon in the Cinch Premiership knowing that a win will take them a step closer to regaining the title. Despite Rangers winning at Fir Park yesterday, focus has been fully on Ange Postecoglou’s team ahead of the tricky clash with Malky Mackay’s impressive Staggies.

Joe Hart will start in goals. The Englishman will want to chalk up another clean sheet after conceding twice at Hampden last weekend.

In defence, Tony Ralston will replace Josip Juranovic at right back with the Croatian Internationalist picking up a knock during the Scottish Cup fixture. Greg Taylor is ready to return having been forced off in injury time. Carl Starfelt was sent off last time Celtic played in Dingwall, he’ll likely partner Cameron Carter-Vickers.

In midfield, Callum McGregor will start at the base of the Celtic midfield. We predict that the skipper will be joined by Matt O’Riley and Tom Rogic, with Reo Hatate missing out.

In attack, we’d expect Giorgos Giakoumakis to return to the starting XI. Daizen Maeda is predicted to start on the left with Jota on the right.
