Salzburg Sell Out! Just THREE tickets left for Thursday night

JUST had a look at the ticket availability situation on the official Celtic site for the Salzburg game and as of just after 11am, there were only THREE single tickets remaining unsold.

Assuming these have been snapped up in the time it takes to post this article, that means that Celtic will play the Austrian Champions next Thursday, under the Christmas lights, in front of a capacity 60,000 crowd.

You can tune into Champions League group stage matches – for instance Manchester City v Lyon and see entire sections of the stands totally empty. Yet even in the Europa League, the Celtic support is there in huge numbers and will once again create the best atmosphere in European football.

The Salzburg supporters will be made to feel welcome and will no doubt be posting their videos of the incredible footballing experience they’ll be part of – win, lose or draw.

The Salzburg players, who bring will try to defend and extend their perfect record in this group, will never have experienced anything like what is in store for them on Thursday night.

Celtic need a draw to be sure of qualifying. With all respect to Rosenborg you can hardly expect them to get anything from their trip to Leipzig but matters are in Celtic’s own hands.

A draw would be great, a win wonderful and as the late Tommy Gemmell said, with that Celtic support being you, anything is possible!

IBROX TICKET BOYCOTT RUMOUR

If the decision is as rumoured, Celtic should open up Celtic Park and show the game on the big screens and bring the players back there after the game if we get a result. Please note that John Paul Taylor, Celtic’s SLO, has tweeted this morning stating that there’s no official word on this as yet.
