Scotland at the Euros: when is the draw, key dates & stadiums

Scotland are headed to Germany next summer for the UEFA European Championships in 2024. Steve Clarke’s team sealed their Qualification after Spain beat Norway 1-0 in Oslo. A goal from Gavi was enough to give Luis de La Fuenta’s team the win and qualify for the tournament themselves. However, the result also sent Scotland to the tournament as Norway now cannot catch the top two.

Now, fans will eagerly be looking forward to the next summer that will likely see an enormous amount of Scotland fans travel across to Germany for the European Championships.

When is the draw?

The draw for the groups will take place on December 2nd with Scotland discovering their opponents at the event in Hamburg.

When will games take place?

The first game of the tournament will take place on June 14th when Germany play the Pot Two team in Group A. Thereafter, groups will unfollowed over the next twelve days until completion of the Groups on the 26th of June.

The last 16 matches are scheduled to take place between 29th of June and July 2nd with the quarter finals following on the 5th/6th July. July 9th and 10th will host the semi finals before July 14th hosts the final in Berlin.

Where will the games take place?

The games will be played across Germany with ten cities being selected. From the capital, Berlin, the Olympiastadion has been selected. The ground that is steeped in history held the 2006 World Cup Final. Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena, Borussia Dortmund’s Signal Iduna Park, Stuttgart’s MHPArena, Frankfurt’s Deutschebank Park, Schalke 04’s Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg’s Volkspadkstadion, Düsseldorf’s Merkur-Spiel-Arena, Cologne’s RheinEnergieStadion as well as Leipzig’s Red Bull Arena.

Who will be there?

Well, apart from Scotland, there are a host of teams that have already confirmed their status. Thanks to the wonderful Scotland’s Co-efficient account on Twitter/X, we have a rough idea of what the Pots could look like.
