Scotland Team’s up – Christie the only Celt starting in Slovenia

Ryan Christie is the only Celtic player in Steve Clarke’s Scotland line-up for this afternoon’s Nations League match away to Slovenia. The hero of Belgrade was substituted near the end of the 90 minutes against Serbia so is asked to go again, as is John McGinn who was also taken off on Thursday.

Former Celtic keeper Craig Gordon returns in goal and Kieran Tierney plays after seeing out the 120 minutes in Belgrade. Stuart Armstrong also comes into the team. On the bench there’s a strong Celtic continent with Greg Taylor, Callum McGregor and Leigh Griffiths all ready to contribute as are former Celts David Marshall and Oli Burke.

The team is Gordon, Tierney, McGinn (c), Christie, McLean, McKenna, Cooper, Armstrong, McBurnie, Palmer and Considine.

Kick-off is at 2pm and the match is live on Sky Sports.
