Celtic’s Scott Robertson has joined Crewe Alexandra on a season-long loan deal. The young central midfielder had spells at Gillingham and Doncaster Rovers but Ange Postecoglou has elected to send him back to EFL League One to get more game time.

The 20-year-old has been with the club for over a decade having progressed through the Celtic Youth Academy and into the first-team squad. However, he will continue his progress with Crewe Alexandra for the rest of the season. Scott Robertson made his first-team debut in the 19/20 season in Romania in the final Europa League group stage match against Cluj in the Europa League and was a stand-out for Celtic in that game.
Celtic will likely use the final days of the window to send some players out of the door whether that be on a permanent or a loan basis. The manager is expecting at least two arrivals with Giakoumakis and Jota both undergoing medicals today ahead of a deadline day switch to Paradise. However, Odsonne Edouard, Leigh Griffiths, Vasilis Barkas and Boli Bolingoli could all depart in the next 24 hours.
