Martin O’Neill needs recruitments to join his Celtic team in order to help the Scottish Champions retain their title. The legendary Celtic boss has echoed Brendan Rodgers’ comments about requiring quality and the 73-year-old has confessed to carrying out scouting himself.
One area that Celtic need to strengthen in is the centre of defence. Cameron Carter-Vickers remains sidelined with an Achilles injury back in October. Jahmai Simpson-Pusey failed to make an impact and had his loan deal cut short.
According to Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, Celtic are preparing to make a move for Swiss defender Aurèle Amenda.
🚨🟢⚪️ Celtic are preparing a loan move for Aurèle #Amenda, but no offer has yet been sent to Eintracht Frankfurt.
The 22 y/o centre-back wants to leave, but there is still no approval from sporting director Markus Krösche. Other clubs have also been rejected.

The 22-year-old was an unused sub tonight in Eintracht Frankfurt’s dramatic 3-3 draw with Werder Bremen. The central defender has made 28 appearances for the 2022 Europa League winners since arriving from Young Boys but has since fallen out of favour.
Celtic need to strength, especially with next weekend’s clash against Hearts at Tynecastle on the horizon. CCV missed the last game and Dane Murray was exposed. It would be helpful to have reinforcements in ahead of this game given the gravity of the match.
