Sky Sports man provides positive update on Kieran Tierney’s Celtic talks

Celtic are progressing with their contract talks with Kieran Tierney. The Scottish Champions are eager to bring the 27-year-old back to the club six years after he left in a £25m deal.

According to Sky Sports News reporter Anthony Joseph, Celtic are progressing well with the deal and parties are keen to secure terms.

Tierney will require to take a significant pay cut and the Scotland Internationalist is willing to accept a salary within Celtic’s budget. Celtic are keen to add the player on a pre-contract agreement but they could even pursue a deal for the player in the final stages of the January window as Arsenal manage an injury crisis.

Greg Taylor’s contract is due to expire this summer and Alex Valle will likely return to Barcelona, meaning that Celtic will need to strengthen in the left fullback area. It is hoped that Taylor can agree a deal that will extend his stay at the club beyond the end of the season.
