Sky Sports reporter name drops Celtic transfer hint on air

SKY SPORTS reporter Luke Shanley dropped a huge transfer hint after Celtic’s 2-0 win over St Johnstone. Speaking to Neil Lennon, Shanley asked if the Irish manager had a couple of names in mind ahead of tomorrow’s transfer deadline before asking specifically about Robert Snodgrass.

Snodgrass, 33, is on the fringes of West Ham first team and David Moyes is ready to sanction a loan deal or cheap permanent move to get him off the books. With no appearances in the Premier League this year, Snodgrass can make a move to Celtic and offer the versatility that Neil Lennon likes around the squad. Snodgrass can play CM, CAM, RM and LM which makes him an ideal acquisition along with the fact he is a lifelong Celtic supporter.

The Sun are reporting that Lennon made an enquiry about the availability of Snoddy and that Moyes is happy for a deal to be done. Celtic will now need to negotiate the particulars and sort out a deal for the ex-Scotland Internationalist.

This would be a shrewd bit of business by Celtic and now they need to turn their attention to bringing a left wingback into the club before the transfer window slams shut.
