Smell the Glove: BBC to show Celtic stopping the ten

BBC Scotland have announced that they will show Celtic’s famous win over St Johnstone in 1998 that stopped Rangers’ quest for 10-in-a-row. Wim Jansen’s side missed the chance to win the league away at East End Park the week before but would be given the chance to win the game in front of a capacity crowd at Paradise.

Goals from Henrik Larsson and Harald Brattbakk gave Celtic the victory that sealed an emotional and deserved trophy. Celtic showed the full match last week and now, the BBC are offering those that missed it the chance to watch the highlights from that day.

Extended highlights will be shown at 19:15 on Sunday on BBC Scotland.

The BBC have previously shown games like Henrik’s farewell and the 5-1 game in November 1998 as football fans try and get their fix of matches. The broadcaster have also confirmed that they will be showing more matches in the coming weeks.

There is no set return for football in Scotland and when there is, the landscape will have changed dramatically from what it was weeks ago.
