It will be a surprise if Celtic don’t add another goalkeeper this summer, but it’s hard to figure out what the club are going to do.
Naturally you want to see a big money signing come in who’s going to be a top level keeper for years, but that was the general idea behind the Barkas signing and it hasn’t worked out.
It could be a case of deciding between a proven option who’s solid but probably won’t wow anyone, or throwing some more money around in the hope that it pays off.

Signing Ofir Marciano from Hibs would fall into the first category as he’s experienced in the league and generally looks pretty solid, while he has been linked with a move to Parkhead recently.
It’s unlikely that a big fee would be required anyway if he was under contract, but the latest reports say he’s set to leave after rejecting a new deal to stay in Edinburgh:

There’s no sign that he’s agreed to sign elsewhere at this point and it wouldn’t make sense for Celtic to sign him to a deal now when a manager isn’t in place, but he’s certainly an option.
He’s only 31 so he has plenty of years left at the top level and this would be his best chance to sign with a big side, but you would still hope that he’s not the main option going into the summer.
