SPFL Cleared as Deloitte’s Independent Investigation finds “No evidence of improper behaviour”

The RANGERS could be facing Scottish FA charges after the SPFL today announced that Chartered Accountancy giants Deloitte have carried out an independent investigation to the recent vote to end the season in the lower leagues and to give the SPFL Board the authority to end the Premiership season early.

The BBC Chris McLaughlin, reporting on the news of Deloitte investigation had bad news for the latest Ibrox club.

“SPFL announce Deloitte have carried out independent forensic investigation into vote to suspend lower league football. “No evidence of improper behaviour.” It follows Rangers call for investigation and suspension of CEO Neil Doncaster,” the BBC reported.

Dear oh dear.

Looking at the comments to McLaughlin’s news…

“Well that’s awkward, will Rangers now be censured for bringing the game into disrepute?”

“That was quick , can they do one on Resolution 12 for next Monday please – asking for Big Peter!”

“Hold on – forget Rangers spouting off their usual guff, but surely announcing the running tally of a vote BEFORE all the votes have been received, is “improper”? Seriously?”

“They are taking the crayons out of the box over in Ibrox now.”

“Who paid for this? What was the cost?”

“Send the bill to Rangers…oh wait they don’t pay their bills.” Hashtag skint face-painter.

“Rangers statement Imminent.”

“Apology statement imminent from Ibrox.”

“Aye, did they ? Did they see Park’s evidence as well or was he talking Craigy Whyte?”

Questions emerging from the blue-noses…

“So they had access to SPFL offices sent a team during lockdown and got it done in no time but didn’t see anything wrong in telling a club their vote didn’t matter?”

“That’s a (sweary word) joke of course there no going to find any wrong doing the SPFL appointed them for a reason and that was to find no wrong doing simple as that.”

“So where’s the proof the Rangers were screaming about?” – maybe they should release it, if they have it. What benefit do they gain from keeping it a secret. Must be a DNA thing…

“Let’s see their report. How do they justify the loss of Dundee’s original vote, releasing result before all votes received, letting Dundee change their vote, plus all the other anomalies? Why the secret investigation? Stinks more than before.”

Any predictions on how long their statement will take and just how angry it’s going to be? Off the scale maybe, even by their own standards.

Incidentally, if you haven’t read this from earlier today, do yourself a favour…
