SPFL confirm Eight Celts in Team of the Season poll

THE SPFL have confirmed the places of eight Celtic players in their Team of the Season after asking Scottish supporters to vote for the best players for the 2019/20 season. Celtic’s Fraser Forster, Christopher Jullien, Kris Ajer, Jeremie Frimpong, Callum McGregor, James Forrest and Moi Elyounoussi were joined by Odsonne Edouard in the TOTS. However, Scott Brown bizarrely was beaten by serial loser Ryan Jack to a place in the midfield.

On-loan goalkeeper Fraser Forster’s inclusion is further testament to his impressive season with the Scottish Champions and how important he is ahead of next season. Forster’s future is yet to be decided ahead of the beginning of next season; although he has been training with Neil Lennon’s side.

Earlier today, Odsonne Edouard beat Rangers’ Alfredo Morelos Scottish football supporters were asked to vote in the Team of the Season poll for the best striker in the Premiership. The Celtic Star Player of the Year as well as the club POTY has been confirmed as the centre forward in the SPFL Team of the Season following another sparking season with the Scottish Champions. Edouard received 46% of the 134k votes cast, meaning that he is the undisputed best striker in Scotland – as if that wasn’t already obvious. Morelos made the T

It is another accolade for the Scottish Champions to have eight players included in the TOTS; although in reality, it could have been more as Scott Brown should have been included.
