St Johnstone 0-0 Celtic: Fans React During The Interval

Celtic travelled to McDiarmid Park on the back of three successive wins. Neil Lennon named a team packed full of midfielders and reverted to a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Ajeti being dropped to the bench for Ryan Christie.

Action was restricted to the middle of the pitch for large parts, St Johnstone defending resolutely and Celtic struggling to get any sort of rhythm going.

A frustrating half, with very little entertainment, almost burst into life on the half hour mark as Tom Rogic struck Odsonne Edouard’s cross towards goal, but his effort was cleared off the line. Ryan Christie and David Turnbull followed that up with a couple of long range shots, neither of which threatened to find the back of the net.

Opportunities were limited for the rest of the half as a turgid affair saw both teams go into the break level at 0-0.

Celtic fans appear to be extremely unhappy with the team’s showing so far and have vented their frustrations on Twitter. Here’s just some of the reactions from the faithful:

Let’s hope for a better showing in the next 45 minutes!
