“Stays like this the other team could go 12 clear on Saturday,” John Hartson

Celtic legend, John Hartson has taken a pot-shot at new Ibrox boss Mick Beale, after Ryan Porteous put Hibernian 1-0 up at Ibrox tonight. The new man has been polluting the airways since his arrival with talk of suits and standards, yet as fate would have it, Porteous was unmarked from scoring his header tonight, funny that eh?

Anyway, after a disrespectful quip this week in the media, referring to Celtic as “the other team”, many have taken note of his petty behaviour towards his opponent and were dying to show him up for it. Well, big John Hartson wasted no time this evening after seeing they went behind to Hibs.

The big man always defend our club to the hilt and Beale’s arrogance would have incensed the Celtic legend this week. Formerly an assistant until the past few months, Beale has a lot of nerve with the way he has conducted himself in his first foray into full-on management.

Hartson couldn’t help but comment on the news from Ibrox though, as he took to social media site, Twitter. He said:

“Stays like this the other team could go 12 clear on Saturday!”

Beale should be more careful before he starts shouting his mouth off…

It’s half-time at Ibrox and Hibs are 2-1 ahead…

Meanwhile with the postal service back tomorrow tonight would be a good time to order a copy of The Celtic Rising ~ 1965: The Year Jock Stein Changed Everything. Then we’ll post a copy signed by the author David Potter to you in the morning using first class post.

I'm a Garngad Bhoy through and through. My first ever Celtic game was a friendly against Italian side Parma at Celtic Park, in 2002. Currently a student of English Literature and Education at the University of Strathclyde for my sins. Favourite game would be a toss up between beating Manchester United with that Naka freekick, or the game against the Oldco when Hesselink scored in the dying seconds. I'm still convinced Cal Mac is wasted playing that far back.

  1. Just sat through an excruciating 100 minutes of junior football….

However, Bealiola’s fast-paced, closing down, attacking entertaining, one-touch, new style (Bealeball) football did look heluva similar to wee Gio’s style. In fact, it was IDENTICAL……..
