Barry Ferguson’s side secured a shock 3-2 victory in Sunday’s Glasgow Derby after Hamza Igamane fired a powerful shot into the top corner with just two minutes of regulation time to play.
The goal stemmed from a lofted pass upfield from Jack Butland that went unchallenged, before Alistair Johnston lost his footing, allowing Igamane to take control and find the net. It was a real comedy of errors from the Celtic defenders that summed up their afternoon to forget.
Speaking on Sky Sports commentary, pundit Chris Sutton suggested that Carter-Vickers ducked out of an attempted clearance, which ultimately led to the heartbreaking late winner for the visitors.

“I think Cameron Carter-Vickers actually ducks out of the header, that was my reading of it,” said Sutton. “Then Alistair Johnston slips. But I’ve got to say the finish was worthy of winning any game.”
In the Sky Sports studio, Neil Lennon gave his thoughts on the incident: “It should never have got that far,” he said. “Carter-Vickers misses the header completely. I don’t care if he gets a shout or not, just head it. I’m not convinced he got a shout. For whatever reason Cameron has misjudged it.”

Kris Boyd said: “Carter Vickers must get a shout from somewhere, I’m not quite sure. It’s as if he just ducks out of the way of it.”
Carter-Vickers had this to say about the incident in his post-match media conference which we covered yesterday on The Celtic Star.
