SWPL1 kick-off time confusion for Sunday’s Glasgow Derby

It’s the big Glasgow Derby this weekend as Celtic Women travel across the city to take on theRangers at their training ground. The Celtic team will be looking for the three points that will allow them to leapfrog the Ibrox side in the Scottish Building Society SWPL1 league table.

Sunday’s hosts have opened their league campaign with 3 straight wins so are sitting on 9 points, three ahead of Celtic. The Hoops lost their opening match of the new campaign by 2-0 away to Champions Glasgow City but followed that up with a rather spectacular 10-0 win away to Hearts before getting the three points in the first Celtic home match of the season after a 1-0 win over Spartans last Sunday.

TheRangers v Celtic match is on Sunday 15 November and there seems to be some confusion over the kick-off time. Rangers TV have the rights to the match so if you want to tune in then it will cost £3.49 with the latest Ibrox club’s website listing the kick-off time as 3pm. Celtic however have stated consistently all week that this game has a 2pm kick-off. Checking on both official sites this evening and the confusion remains – theRangers saying it’s 3pm while Celtic reckon it’s a 2pm kick-off.

Strange and embarrassing for the club that’s got it wrong – obviously we hope that it is THEM.  There’s another glaring error in that Rangers ‘Join the Action’ cut-out below, with them somewhat desperately claiming that this is an Old Firm game.

Anyway, The CELTIC FC Women squad this season is as follows.

Chloe Logan 1 Keeva Keenan 2 Jodie Bartle 3 Cheryl McCulloch 4 Natalie Ross 5 Chloe Craig 6 Anita Marcos 7 Katherine Smart 8 Josephine Giard 9 Lisa Robertson 10 Sarah Ewens 11 Rachel Donaldson 12 Sarah Teegarden 14 Kelly Clark 15 Kate Nicolson 16 Summer Green 17 Caitlin Hayes 18 Brenda Castellano 21 Chloe Warrington 22 Megan Crosson 23 Tegan Bowie 24 Rebecca McAllister 25 Paige McAllister 26 Lisa Kerr 28 Cara McBrearty 33 Rachael Johnstone 53 Kathleen McGovern 63
