Team News for Saints – Ajer and Christie Back, Jozo Doubt

Neil Lennon has confirmed that Kris Ajer and Ryan Christie will be available for selection ahead of Celtic’s trip to St Johnstone tomorrow whilst Jozo Simunovic is a doubt.

The manager spoke to the media conference ahead of the match at McDiarmid Park and gave an update on the status of his squad.

“We’re just waiting to see how Jozo Simunovic is but apart from that we are more or less the same.

We’ve got Ajer and Christie coming back in coupled with Mikey Johnston coming through the game fine we have no really serious concerns about anyone from the weekend.”

Celtic relied on a substitute cameo from Odsonne Edouard to settle the win over Ross County to open up a five point lead over second placed Rangers.

Simunovic had just returned from a knee injury and as much as the absence may be a blow to the Croatian, who earlier this week professed his pleasure at being back on the pitch.

Celtic recalled Stephen Welsh from Morton in an attempt to provide cover in the defensive areas with Nir Bitton and Hatem Abd Elhamed still injured.
