Team News – Timo Weah starts as Celtic target 8IAR title party

The Celtic team to play Aberdeen at Pittodrie has been announced. Celtic need at least a point today to be confirmed as the 8IAR Champions of Scotland and Neil Lennon will want to get the job done and the celebrations underway!

Scott Bain continues in goal – he has been excellent since coming into the side as the first pick keeper at the start of the year.

The back four is Mikael Lustig (new contract please Celtic), last week’s goalscoring hero, Celtic’s No.5 Jozo Simunovic and Kris Ajer (regardless of the PFA Scotland awards, clearly the best young player in Scotland this season, and Kieran Tierney (whose season has been hampered by that troublesome hernia injury).

In the middle of the park Scott Brown – the inspirational skipper will sit alongside Callum McGregor with James Forrest and Timo Weah out wide and Tom Rogic – always so effective against Aberdeen – in the number 10 position just behind Odsonne Edouard who is as usual the one striker.

So team is Bain, Lustig, Ajer, Simunovic, Tierney, Brown, McGregor, Forrest, Rogic, Edouard and Weah.

Subs are Dorus De Vries, Jerry Toljan, Scotty Sinclair, Jonny Hayes, Olivier Ntcham, Oli Burke and Filip Benkovic.

Neil Lennon started Celtic’s march to the Ten down at Kilmarnock in April 2012 as featured on The Celtic Star this morning – let’s make it 8 in a row today Neil!
