Team’s Up – Alonso rotates but plenty of fire power for goal hungry Celtic

Fran Alonso has named his team for this afternoon’s game against Forfar Farmington at K-Park. The game will kick off at 2pm and Alonso knows how important a win would be for his side’s Champions League ambitions.

52. Rachael Johnstone (GK)
6. Chloe Craig
7. Mariah Lee
8. Jacynta Galabadaarachchi
10. Lisa Robertson
11. Sarah Ewens
12. Rachel Donaldson
15. Kelly Clark ©
18. Caitlin Hayes
21. Anna Filbey
24. Tegan Bowie

On the bench for this afternoon:

  1. Chloe Logan 3. Jodie Bartle 16. Kate Nicolson 17. Izzy Atkinson 20. London Pollard 22. Chloe Warrington 25. Rebecca McAllister

With two games remaining, there is still a chance that Celtic can upset the odds and win the title themselves; however, the manager and his players are more interested in focusing on themselves as opposed to other teams and what impact their results may have.

Celtic are three points behind league leaders Glasgow City, who have a plus nine goal difference but they have to play third placed Rangers on Sunday 6th of June, the final weekend of the season. Celtic will need to win today and beat Motherwell on the same day to maintain hopes of an upset but it is clear that Alonso fancies giving the team the best possible chance at title glory by naming a strong attacking line-up.

Come on you Girls in Green!
