Team’s Up – Bain, Lagerbielke and Yang start

Brendan Rodgers has named his team for this afternoon’s game against Motherwell. The Scottish Champions make the short trip to Fir Park to face The Steelmen in what promises to be an engrossing encounter.

After last weekend’s confident display at Livingston, Rodgers has made two changes with Scott Bain coming in for Joe Hart, who was sent off last weekend, and Yang for James Forrest.

In goals, Scott Bain starts.

In defence, it is the same back four that started at the Tony Macaroni with Gustaf Lagerbielke lining up beside Liam Scales. Alistair Johnston and Greg Taylor start in the full back berths.

Callum McGregor is joined by Reo Hatate and Matt O’Riley in the middle of the park. The latter pair committed their long-term future to the club over the last 24 hours.

In attack, Kyogo is through the middle with Daizen Maeda on the left and Yang on the right.

On the bench: Siegrist, Phillips, Palma, Turnbull, Holm, Oh, Tomoki, Ralston & Forrest.

You would expect that Phillips will feature from the bench at some stage as the manager looks to get him up to speed for Wednesday’s game against Lazio. Lagerbielke is suspended and the Liverpool loanee will need to feature. Although, he has just 45 minutes under his belt since arriving from Anfield.
