Team’s Up – Barkas returns, Eddy and Griff continue in attack

Neil Lennon has named his side for this afternoon’s game at Celtic Park against Dundee United. The Scottish Champions are hoping for a comfortable win as they look to go into Saturday’s game at Ibrox with another win while Rangers play St Mirren in Paisley. Celtic came out 1-0 winners over the side when they faced each other in August thanks to a late Albian Ajeti goal.

The manager has decided to make a couple of changes going into the game as he targets three points while keeping an eye on the weekend fixture against Steven Gerrard’s Rangers.

The manager has gone with Vasilis Barkas over Conor Hazard, who recorded another clean sheet on Boxing Day. The Greek International will be hoping for a strong performance as he looks to convince the manager that he is worthy of a start at the weekend.

In defence, Lennon has opted to go with Kris Ajer and Christopher Jullien. Jeremie Frimpong and Diego Laxalt play in the full back berths as Celtic look to finish the year on a high.

In the midfield, Ismaila Soro, David Turnbull and Ryan Christie join captain Callum McGregor in the Diamond that the manager has opted to go with in recent weeks.

Once again, Lennon has gone with Odsonne Edouard and Leigh Griffiths as he tries to get the pair more game time ahead of this weekend.

On the bench for Celtic: Hazard, Taylor, Duffy, Bitton, Brown, Ajeti, Rogic, Johnston & Elyounoussi
