Team’s Up – Broony’s back for Ross County friendly

Neil Lennon has named a strong team for today’s pre-season friendly match versus Ross County at Celtic Park. As preparations continue for the league start next week versus Hamilton Accies, the Celtic manager has named what appears to be his best XI for the game.

Scott Brown returns after missing out in Paris last week and regains his armband, shaking off injury concerns.

In goals, the only first team keeper Scott Bain starts.

Jullien and Ajer make up the defensive pairing with Taylor and Frimpong on either side.

In midfield, Scott Brown starts with Callum McGregor and Ryan Christie in a role further forward.

Whilst the attacking three comprises of Moi Elyounoussi, Odsonne Edouard and James Forrest.

Celtic have only made one signing in the transfer window thus far and with today’s test versus the Staggies as well as tomorrow’s match versus Hibs, Neil Lennon may be able to see his best XI and identify areas that the squad could improve. The one position that sticks out as needing improved upon in the goalkeeping spot and Lennon will hope to have either Forster or Barkas in place before Hamilton arrive next weekend.

The game will act as one of two Pass to Paradise test events allowing the club to roll out content for Season Ticket Holders before the season starts.
