McIntyre’s side fell to a 3-1 defeat against Championship side Greenock Morton in the Second Round of the SPFL Trust Trophy. Morton struck after just 16 mins after Garrity pounced on a poor clearance from Urhoghide at the back for McIntyre’s side. Robbie Muirhead made it 2-0. Ciaran Dickson, on his debut after signing from Rangers, pulled one back after a fumble from the Morton goalkeeper. Celtic had chances but couldn’t draw level despite hitting the woodwork and good goalkeeping. Liam Shaw looked particularly impressive in the middle for the Celtic B side. Cameron Blues made it 3-1 after 66 mins and this would be the final score as Celtic once again couldn’t find the net again.
