Team’s Up – Celtic B side to face Fairydean Rovers

Tommy McIntyre has named his side for tonight’s game against Fairydean Rovers. Fresh from the weekend defeat to Morton, McIntyre’s young team return to Scottish Lowland Football League duty with the ‘home’ fixture at the Penny Cars stadium in Airdrie.

Celtic: Oluwayemi; Murphy, Lawal, Corr and Paterson; Carse, Dickson, Wylie, Vata, Davidson and Brooks.

On the bench: Letsosa, Mullen, Anderson, Jackson and Deane.

McIntyre’s side fell to a 3-1 defeat against Championship side Greenock Morton in the Second Round of the SPFL Trust Trophy. Morton struck after just 16 mins after Garrity pounced on a poor clearance from Urhoghide at the back for McIntyre’s side. Robbie Muirhead made it 2-0. Ciaran Dickson, on his debut after signing from Rangers, pulled one back after a fumble from the Morton goalkeeper. Celtic had chances but couldn’t draw level despite hitting the woodwork and good goalkeeping. Liam Shaw looked particularly impressive in the middle for the Celtic B side. Cameron Blues made it 3-1 after 66 mins and this would be the final score as Celtic once again couldn’t find the net again.
