Martin O’Neill has named exactly the starting XI predicted on The Celtic Star yesterday afternoon for this evening’s penultimate group stage match in the 2025/26 Europa League campaign…

It’s a match that means a great deal to both Celtic and our hosts Bologna FC 1909 who are looking for two back-to-back wins in the final two matches over the next week to push into the top eight thus avoiding a play-off tie.
For Celtic it’s about picking up at least three, possibly even four points over the final two matches starting this evening in the iconic Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.
The Celtic team this evening is as follows: Schmeichel, Donovan, Trusty, Scales, Tierney, McGregor, Engels, Hatate, Yang, Maeda, Tounekti.
And on the bench for Celtic: Sinisalo, Doohan; Nygren, Balikwisha, McCowan, Kenny, Bernardo, Murray, Forrest, McCardle, Ralston, Isiguzo.
The Bologna FC 1909 team is as follows:

Skorupski; Polega, Moro, Rowe, Heggem, Casale, Ferguson, Zortea, Dallinga, Dominguez, Miranda.
Subs: Ravaglia, Pessina, Holm, Orsolini, Odgaard, Lykoglannis, Cambiaghi, Vitik, Barcancioni, Lai, Castaldo, Negri.
The match gets underway at 5.45pm CPT* and is live on TNT Sports 2 with the build-up starting at 5pm.

Was always going to be a decision between Donovan and ralston for the starting position, and no problem with Donovan getting the starting position imo?
What affects it might have upon ralston now, remains to be seen, especially as I would expect Julian to be recalled for Sunday?
Thought kelchi would have at least made the bench tonight, so bit surprised he hasn’t, as thought him and Saracchi, where a bit closer to returning to the squad, than it seems to be at present?
