Team’s Up – Jim Goodwin names Dundee Utd XI for Celtic clash

Jim Goodwin has named his Dundee United team for this evening’s Premiership clash against Celtic. United currently sit 3rd in the table and will be looking to frustrate the Champions. However, Goodwin has decided against starting Sam Dalby, the top scorer in the league.

Goodwin will look to sit behind the ball and try make things difficult for Celtic and get the crowd on the host’s backs. The Irishman masterminded a 0-0 draw when the sides met last month at Tannadice.

Dundee United: Walton, Adegboyega, Gallagher, Graham, Middleton, Odada, Sevelj, Ferry, Fotheringham, Trapanovski, van der Sande.

Subs: Richards, Strain, Stephenson, Dalby, Docherty, Thomson, Cleall-Harding, Stirton, Meshack.

Meanwhile, Brendan has named his side for the game and the manager has decided to go with the same XI that beat St Mirren on Sunday.

Celtic: Schmeichel, Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Trusty, Taylor, McGregor, McCowan, Engels, Kühn, Maeda, Idah.

Subs: Sinisalo, Scales, Palma, Kyogo, Valle, Yang, Bernardo, Hatate, Ralston.

Celtic are unbeaten in 20 meetings with Dundee United in all competitions (W15 D5) since a 2-1 league defeat in December 2014 under Ronny Deila.
