Daizen Maeda scored the opening goal for Celtic against Dundee United this evening. The Japanese winger followed in after Luke McCowan’s effort was parried by Walton.
McCowan showed tenacity to close down the United defenders in the box before collecting the ball and curling a left footed effort towards the bottom corner. The goalkeeper got down well but pushed the ball back out into the box. Maeda reacted swiftly and rattled the loose ball into the net.

The goal is Daizen’s 14th of the season and he took it well to give Celtic something to show for after a dominant opening 23 minutes.
