Team’s Up – Johnston Starts

Neil Lennon has named his team for the Glasgow Derby match versus the second placed Rangers this afternoon. A win over Steven Gerrard’s team would give the Scottish Champions an eight point lead going into the winter break. The manager has made one change from the game with St Mirren on Thursday.
In goals, Fraser Forster starts, hoping to have a quieter shift than last time versus the Ibrox outfit in the League Cup Final, where he earned the Man of the Match award as Celtic won 1-0.
In defence, Jeremie Frimpong continues his run in the right back berth whilst Boli Bolingoli starts on the left. The pairing of Kris Ajer and Christopher Jullien will he tasked with the centre of the Celtic defence.
Captain Scott Brown is joined with Callum McGregor and Ryan Christiein the heart of the Celtic midfield. This means that Mikey Johnston will operate from the right and James Forrest will be coming in from the right. This means that Johnston for Ntcham is the only change, meaning Celtic get back to playing players in their natural position.
Odsonne Edouard will start up front for the Scottish Champions as he looks to continue his impressive run against today’s opponents.
Celtic will be added the boost of having their talisman in attack as in the League Cup, they appeared to be somewhat handicapped by the lack of a natural striker.
Bench: Gordon, Bitton, Hayes, Bauer, Rogic, Griffiths and Ntcham.
