Team’s Up – Kettlewell names Killie XI for Celtic clash

Stuart Kettlewell has named his Kilmarnock team for this afternoon’s Scottish Premiership meeting against Celtic. The visitors from Rugby Park have struggled for consistency this season but showed in the first meeting between the sides that they can frustrate Celtic. A late penalty from Kelechi Iheanacho settled the affair with Celtic winning 2-1.

Killie had attempted to sign Craig Gordon on an emergency loan deal from Hearts; however, their attempts were rebuffed by Derek McInnes.

Kilmarnock: Beach, Brown, Williams, Stanger, Deas, Thompson, Lowery, Watson, Lyons, Tiffoney, Anderson.

Subs: Armour, Dackers, Kiltie, Watkins, John-Jules, Brannan, Schulte-Brown, Leslie, Polworth.

Elsewhere, Martin O’Neill has named his team with a surprise start for Jahmai Simpson-Pusey, the loanee from Man City. There is a hint that the interim manager has switched to a 3-5-2.

Celtic: Schmeichel, Simpson-Pusey, Trusty, Scales, Saracchi, McGregor, Hatate, McCowan, Tounekti, Maeda, Kenny.

Subs: Sinisalo, Nygren, Balikwisha, Yang, Shin, Engels, Murray, Ralston, Tierney.
