Team’s Up – Kyogo & McGregor start for Celtic

Ange Postecoglou has named his team for Celtic’s game against Bayer Leverkusen and the manager has made two big inclusions with Kyogo and Callum McGregor returning to action. The duo have been out since the start of the month and now the Australian has sprung a surprise by naming them in his starting XI.

In goals, Joe Hart continues.

In defence, Anthony Ralston starts on the right with Carl Starfelt, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Adam Montgomery forming the back four.

In midfield, Callum McGregor is joined by David Turnbull and Tom Rogic.

In attack, Kyogo is supported by Jota and Liel Abada.

On the bench: Bain, Barkas, Scales, Giakoumakis, Ajeti, Soro, McCarthy, Urhoghide, Scales and Welsh.

It was a major surprise that the boss has sprung but certainly one that improves the team. The only concern may be down the left flank with young Adam Montgomery starting. However, if we think back to 2015 and a game against Fenerbahce, Kieran Tierney made his European debut and was thoroughly impressive.

It will be a huge night under the lights at Paradise. It is a sellout against top opposition and Celtic finally have some depth on the bench.

Come on Celtic!
