NEIL LENNON has named a strong team for the dead rubber match versus AC Milan in Group H of the Europa League. With Celtic already out of the tournament, it is pride at stake for the Scottish Champions but Lennon knows that a result will go a long way to convince people that he can turn around what has been a dismal run of results. Celtic have just two wins in eleven games, a shocking record that he will hope to address tonight.
In goals, Vasilis Barkas keeps his place from Sunday’s defeat to Ross County. The Greek Internationalist played in the opening fixture versus the Italians but Scott Bain played in the other three fixtures, conceding ten goals as Celtic lost two and drew one. He will be hoping to prove to Lennon that he is good enough to be the club’s No.1 with a strong performance.

In defence, Lennon has named a back five with three central defenders – they are Kris Ajer, Nir Bitton and Hatem Abd Elhamed. AC Milan loanee Diego Laxalt starts at left wing back with Jeremie Frimpong on the right. The Celtic defence has conceded 23 goals in the last 11 games and tonight, they will be against one of the in-form European sides, who will be without Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
In the midfield, Scott Brown starts beside Callum McGregor and Tom Rogic.
In attack, Odsonne Edouard and Ryan Christie start against the Serie A league leaders.
