Martin O’Neill has named his Celtic team ahead of this evening’s Scottish Premiership match with Falkirk. The Scottish Champions appointed O’Neill as interim manager following Brendan Rodgers’ shock departure on Monday.
O’Neill left Celtic over twenty years ago and since then has managed in the Premier League and at the Euros, he returns to Celtic Park after a six year break from management. He will be relishing the return, albeit on an interim basis.
Now, O’Neill and Shaun Maloney have named their first starting XI for the must win against the visitors.
In goals, Kasper Schmeichel starts.
In defence, Marcelo Saracchi starts at left back with Tony Ralston at left back. Auston Trusty comes into the team for Dane Murray to partner Liam Scales.
Callum McGregor captains the side with Arne Engels and Benji Nygren.
In attack, Johnny Kenny continues with Seb Tounetki and James Forrest in the wide areas.
Subs: Sinisalo, Donovan, Murray, Hatate, Balikwisha, McCowan, Bernardo, Maeda, Osmand.
Concerningly, there is no Kieran Tierney in the squad. The Scottish fullback struggled at full time against Hearts and will be cleared up pre match but that may be a doubt for Sunday.

Unfortunately K T seems to no longer be able to complete 2 games in a row.
Arsenal obviously knew that.
I was surprised when he enlisted for Scotland duty.
Pity but c’est la vie.
Hail Hail.
Not to surprised that the structure of the overall squad remains the same.
Bit surprised to see Osmand given a place ahead of shin all the same.
Hopefully KT is only a precaution with Sunday in mind.
Could be interesting to see if Engels is given the calmac role, and maybe calmac used in the Hatate position?
Not to long until we find out.
