Team’s Up – McGregor starts, Maeda on bench, Abada, GG and Jota up top

Callum McGregor will captain Celtic this evening against theRangers at Celtic Park, wearing a protective face mask. The skipper has been out injured after suffering a bad knock to the face in the Scottish Cup win away to Alloa, missing the wins over Hearts and Dundee United.

Ange Postecoglou has been given the green light by medical staff and after speaking to his captain, names McGregor in his starting eleven, which will be a huge boost to Celtic this evening.

Joe Hart is in goals and the back four is Josip Juranovic, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Carl Starfelt and Greg Taylor. In midfield ahead of McGregor who will play in his now customary number 6 role will be new signings Reo Hatate and Matt O’Riley. And the front three of Liel Abada, Giorgos Giakoumakis and Jota is certain to get The Celtic support excited!

Nir Bitton is suspended after picking up a red card at the weekend. Daizen Maeda is back from World Cup duty with Japan and make the bench

On the bench this evening for Celtic, Scott Bain, Anthony Ralston, Stephen Welsh, Christopher Jullien, James McCarthy, Liam Scales, James Forrest, Daizen Maeda and Ben Doak.

Kick-off is at 7.45pm with a record 60,000 crowd expected through the turnstiles, every single one being a Celtic support.

Remember theRangers stopped Celtic Fans from attending the first Glasgow Derby of the season at Ibrox then did their best to get this game played behind closed doors at the start of January. They seem concerned about the impact that The Celtic Fans can have on a game. Every single one of us going to the game has a duty to shout, cheer, sing and roar the Bhoys on to three points that will take us to the top of the league.

Leave nothing in the tank folks, let’s give this one everything we’ve got.
