Team’s Up – No Giorgos Giakoumakis in squad, Maeda leads the line

Ange Postecoglou hasn’t been able to name the strongest possible Celtic side to take on Hibs at Easter Road in the early kick-off because last weekend’s hat-trick hero Giorgos Giakoumakis is not included. A win For Celtic will extend the lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership to six points and pile the pressure on theRangers who play Motherwell later this afternoon at Ibrox.

Joe Hart as usual has the gloves. The back four For Celtic this afternoon and Josip Juranovic at right back, Greg Taylor at left back and the return of the usual central defensive partnership of Cameron Carter-Vickers and Carl Starfelt after CCV was rested on Thursday night’s 2-0 defeat away to Bodo/Glimt.

In midfield Callum McGregor leads the side and he will be aided by both Reo Hatate and Tom Rogic while the front three are Abada, Jota and Maeda.

On the bench for Celtic at Easter Road today are Bain, Bitton. McCarthy, Ideguchi, O’Riley Roffesrt, Ralston, Welsh and Karamoko Dembélé.

There is no Giorgos Giakoumakis in the squad, presumably he’s picked up a knock in the Arctic Circle?
