Team’s Up – One Celt in Steve Clarke’s team for warm-up friendly

Steve Clarke has named his Scotland team to play Luxembourg in the final warm-up match before Euro 2020 kicks off later this month. The Scotland boss has retained Callum McGregor in the centre of midfield while teammates James Forrest, Jack Hendry, Ryan Christie and David Turnbull dropping to the bench.

In goals for Scotland, David Marshall returns after staying behind in Spain as Clarke took no chances of a COVID-19 outbreak.

In defence, Declan Gallagher is joined by Kieran Tierney and Grant Hanley. Andy Robertson plays as left wingback with Stephen O’Donnell playing at right wingabck.

In midfield, McGregor is joined by Scott McTominay and John McGinn.

In attack, Che Adams and Lyndon Dykes will be hoping to strike up a partnership ahead of the tournament kicking off.

On the bench: Gordon, McLaughlin, Taylor, Armstrong, Turnbull, Nisbet, Fraser, Patterson, Gilmour, Hendry, Forrest and McKenna.

Scotland face the Czech Republic, England and Croatia as they look to enjoy a happy return to a major tournament, the nation’s first since 1998.

  1. Mcgregor is the one who should be dropped, ponses about the halfway line and contributes nothing in defence or attack, must be the most overrated player in Scotland.
