Team’s Up – Robbie Neilson names Starting XI for visit of the Champions

Hearts manager Robbie Neilson has named his team for this afternoon’s Cinch Premiership clash against Celtic. The Scottish Champions arrive at Tynecastle on a wet day in Edinburgh as both teams look set to go to battle for the points.

Hearts will set up in a 4-4-1-1 formation as they look to deal with the fluid, aggressive football from Ange Postecoglou’s league leaders.

In goals is former Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon. Ahead of him in the central pairing is Stephen Kingsley and Toby Sibbick. Alex Cochrane and Michael Smith play at left and right full-back respectively.

In midfield, Stephen Humphrys plays off the right with Josh Ginnelly playing off the left. A central pairing of Cammy Devlin and Orestis Kiomourtzoglou (Kio) will look to quieten the lively Celtic midfield.

Barrie McKay occupies the free-role in the attacking midfield with Robert Snodgrass playing ahead of him in a make-shift centre-forward role.

Subs: Stewart, Clark, Grant, Shankland, Halliday, Forrest, Neilson, Henderson, C. Smith.

Elsewhere, Ange Postecoglou has named a strong team with a few changes, likely with Tuesday’s game against Shakhtar Donestk in mind. Joe Hart is in goals. A back four of Tony Ralston, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Moritz Jenz and Alexandro Bernabei. A midfield of Matt O’Riley, Aaron Mooy and Josip Juranovic. In attack, James Forrest is on the right, Daizen Maeda on the left with Giorgos Giakoumakis through the middle.
