Team’s Up – Rogic, Ajeti and Edouard start, same team as Saturday

Neil Lennon has named his team for tonight’s clash against St Mirren in Paisley as The Scottish Champions look to make it three wins in a row. The game kicks off at 8pm and Celtic will be hoping to enact revenge on the Buddies for the defeat at Celtic Park last month.

The manager has opted to continue with the same team that beat Motherwell at the weekend, hoping that the 9IAR Champions can continue to put pressure on Rangers by cutting into their gap at the top of the league.

In goals, Scott Bain starts, continuing his stint as No.1 goalkeeper.

It is the same back four that started the win over Motherwell, loan signing Jonjoe Kenny continues at right back with Greg Taylor at left back. In the centre of defence, Neil Lennon has partnered Stephen Welsh and Kris Ajer, with the pair providing a solid base at the back.

The midfield diamond includes captain Scott Brown, Callum McGregor, David Turnbull and Tom Rogic.

In attack, Albian Ajeti and Odsonne Edouard continue their partnership in attack as they look to build on their relationship with Ajeti being given a reprieve after his two game suspension was overruled on appeal.

On the bench: Barkas, Duffy, Laxalt, Klimala, Johnston, Elyounoussi, Griffiths, Soro and Christie.

Saints beat Celtic 2-1 last month with Neil Lennon’s side winning the last game in Paisley 2-1 back in September. Jim Goodwin has transformed the Renfrewshire club into a top six team and it’ll prove to be another tough match.

The St Mirren team tonight is as follows: Alnwick, Shaughnessy, McCarthy, Doyle-Hayes, Flynn, Obika, Durmus, McGrath, Connolly, Fraser, Erahon

Subs: Lyness, Tait, Mason, Finlayson, MacPherson, Henderson, McAllister, Jamieson, Erwin
