Team’s Up – Rogic and Frimpong start

CELTIC return to action this afternoon against Livingston and Neil Lennon’s players will be looking to avenge that 2-0 shock result in October and also score – for the first time in three outings against Gary Holt’s side – as many goals as possible to remain at the top of the Premiership come the end of the weekend fixtures.

The Rangers are away to Hamilton tomorrow so will know the target they’ll need to reach to overtake the Hoops and perhaps rush out a Christmas DVD.

The Celtic manager has been delighted at the way his side bounced back from that shock defeat in West Lothian.

“The reaction since that result has been superb. The football we’ve played and the results we’ve had have been outstanding. The quality of performance and the level of intent has been excellent,” he said at yesterday’s Media Conference.

Fraser Forster is in goals and with Elhamed out for a few weeks, Jeremie Frimpong starts at right back. On the left side of the defence Jonny Hayes starts.

The central defenders are as usual The Christmas Jumper Bhoys Ajer and Jullien.

In midfield Scott Brown and Callum McGregor are there as usual while the forward three are Rome goal hero James Forrest and Ryan Christie who scored against Lazio at Paradise but has some personal business to take care of against today’s opponents after his red card last month cost him his twitter account. Tom Rogic is also back in the team.

Odsonne Edouard leads the line as usual but hopefully will get a rest as fit again Leigh Griffiths is desperate to get some minutes against one of his old teams.

Gordon, Taylor, Bauer, Bitton, Morgan, Ntcham and Griffiths make up the subs bench.
