Team’s Up – Same again Celtic for Hampden Semi Final

Brendan Rodgers has named his Celtic team for this afternoon’s Scottish Cup Semi Final against St Johnstone. The Scottish Champions will look to secure their place in the showpiece final against Aberdeen, who beat Hearts yesterday.

The manager has named the same team that beat Kilmarnock 5-1 last Saturday with Adam Idah, James Forrest and Liam Scales retaining their place in the team. Nicolas Kühn and Jota will look to impact the game from the bench.

Viljami Sinisalo starts in goals given Kasper Schmeichel remains out.

In defence, Greg Taylor and Alistair Johnston continue in the fullback berths with Cameron Carter-Vickers partnering Scales.

Reo Hatate and Arne Engels join skipper Callum McGregor in the middle of the park.

Adam Idah leads the line with James Forrest and Daizen Maeda.

Subs: Bain, Trusty, Jota, Kühn, McCowan, Ralston, Bernardo, Schlupp

Celtic need no reminder of the risk that the Perthshire club pose following the 1-0 defeat against St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park earlier this month.
