Team’s Up – Same again for Celtic, no Hatate on bench

Brendan Rodgers has named his team for this afternoon’s Cinch Premiership match against Dundee. The Scottish Champions were victorious on their last outing, against Livingston, and they’ll want to follow that up with a win at Dens Park.

The manager has gone for the same starting XI as he did against Livi, clearly giving an indication of what he is thinking ahead of the weekend’s game against theRangers.

Joe Hart starts in goals. Liam Scales partners Cameron Carter-Vickers in the heart of the Celtic defence with Alistair Johnston and Greg Taylor in the full back positions.

In midfield, Callum McGregor starts at the base of the central three with Matt O’Riley and Paolo Bernardo. In attack, Kyogo starts through the middle with Daizen Maeda and Luis Palma starting out wide.

On the bench: Scott Bain, Tony Ralston, Stephen Welsh, James Forrest, Mikey Johnston, David Turnbull, Oh, Kwon, Yang.

There was a hope that Reo Hatate would be included on the bench as he ramps up his recovery from an injury sustained in the draw to Atletico Madrid. However, the Japanese midfielder hasn’t been included. Hopefully, that doesn’t mean that he is out of contention for next weekend.
