Team’s Up – Schmeichel, Scales, Bernardo and Hatate start for Celtic

Wilfried Nancy has named his Celtic starting X1 to face Motherwell at Fir Park this evening in the 8pm kick-off which is live on Premier Sports…

The Celtic manager shuffles the pack with four changes from the side that started in West Lothian at the weekend. Kasper Schmeichel returns after sitting out the Livingston match while three are also places for Liam Scales presumably in the back three , Paulo Bernardo in the middle of the park and Reo Hatate further forward.

So Celtic line-up with Schmeichel in goals, a back three of Ralston, Trusty and Scales. Yang and Tierney as wingbacks with Callum McGregor and Bernardo in the middle of the park behind the two number 8s Nygren and Hatate and Daizen Maeda will be up top.

It’s Celtic’s last match of 2025, hopefully the Bhoys can go out with a bang and bring home the three points that will see us go level with Hearts at the top of the Scottish Premiership table ahead of the Glasgow Derby against theRangers on Saturday lunchtime, 3rd January.

But for now it’s all about beating Motherwell this evening. Let’s do it Bhoys!
