Team’s Up – Tommy McIntyre names his Celtic B side to play Broomhill

Celtic FC B welcome Broomhill Sports Club this afternoon to the Penny Cars Stadium in Airdrie with the Lowland League match kicking off at 1pm. Celtic have made a reasonably strong start to the first season playing in this league, although there have been one or two sucker punches along the way where the team failed to get what they deserved from games against more experienced, battle hardened senior professionals.

A good example of that was in midweek when Celtic dominated the first half and were a goal to the good looking for a second before conceding a equaliser to the home side Spartans on the stroke on half-time. Then as Celtic B looked to restore the advantage in second half Spartans held out then grabbed a winner themselves in stoppage time.

Today Tommy McIntyre and Darren O’Dea will have the Bhoys heads up and ready to pick up the three points, and the team is as follows: Mullen, Luyeye, Paterson (captain), Easton, Corr, Murphy, Moffat, Deane, Dawson, Letsosa and Summers. On the bench for Celtic this afternoon are Robertson, Morrison, Goldie, Dobbie and Kelly.

Remember that many of the young Celtic stars are away representing their countries on international duty at the moment and this means that the Celtic B manager has to dip into the Academy for replacements to move up and play with the B team.
