Team’s Up – Welsh returns, Kyogo starts and Giakoumakis benched

Ange Postecoglou has named his team for tonight’s crucial Europa League fixture in Budapest against Ferencvaros. The Australian manager is missing Carl Starfelt and Tom Rogic but he has named a balanced starting XI which looks like it’s going for the win in Hungary. There are just two changes from the weekend with Kyogo replacing Giorgos Giakoumakis, who missed a late penalty and has been benched. Secondly, Stephen Welsh replaces Carl Starfelt, who has a hamstring complaint.

In goals, Joe Hart continues in goals. The Englishman has been impressive since joining from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer and kept a clean sheet when the teams met a fortnight ago.

In defence, Postecoglou has continued with Anthony Ralston at right back, Josip Juranovic at left back and decided to partner Cameron Carter Vickers with Stephen Welsh.

In midfield, it is unchanged from the weekend with Nir Bitton joining captain Callum McGregor and David Turnbull.

In attack, Kyogo starts through the middle and he is supported by Jota and Liel Abada on the wings.

On the bench: Bain, Oluwayemi, Scales, Soro, McCarthy, Johnston, Urhoghide, Shaw, Murray, Forrest, Montgomery.

It is a strong starting XI and as The Celtic Star predicted early today. It is a huge game tonight and a shame that the Celtic supporters in Budapest cannot attend. It is on BT Sport, however, with coverage starting after the Rangers game. Come on Celtic!
