The promising Cameron Carter-Vickers injury update ahead of Premiership kick-off

Cameron Carter-Vickers will return to Celtic training ahead of the Cinch Premiership kick-off against Ross County next weekend. The Scottish Champions were away in Japan without the USA Internationalist due to his recovery from injury but now it is expected that he will be in contention for the Flag Day proceedings at Paradise.

The 25-year-old has been tremendous since arriving at the club, forming a formidable defensive pairing with Carl Starfelt. The ex-Tottenham defender is another player that will likely be excited to be working with new boss Brendan Rodgers, who has a reputation for cultivating and improving young players.

The Scottish Sun are reporting that the central defender will join up with his teammates ahead of the pre-season trip to Dublin where Rodgers’ team face Wolves. The manager will want to ease the player back from injury and not risk aggravating this injury.

Earlier today, a source close to the player reported that the central defender had been training with the Celtic B side and had even got some minutes on his road to recovery from the knee surgery that forced him to miss the Scottish Cup Final.
