Celtic will face two away games and three home games in their final five fixtures if the rumoured fixture list is to be believed. Following a dramatic final day yesterday, Celtic, Rangers and Hearts were joined by Dundee United, Motherwell and Ross County in the top six.
Celtic face Rangers at Hampden next Sunday in the Scottish Cup Semi Final and the rumoured fixture list has Giovanni Van Bronckhorst’s side travelling to Paradise the following Sunday. Given Celtic’s lead at the top of the table, League officials will not want to have a potential league decider on their hands and subsequently, putting the game for Matchday 34.
The following Sunday (1st of May), a trip to Dingwall is touted as being a possible date for the game against Ross County. Celtic won the last meeting 2-1 thanks to a late goal from Tony Ralston. Then, a home game against Hearts is slated for the Saturday 7th.
Then, there is said to be a Thursday night clash (12th of May) for Celtic at Tannadice against Tam Courts’ Dundee United with a home game against Motherwell rumoured to be the final game of the season – and hopefully trophy day. It remains to be seen whether these fixtures will be the ones published by the SPFL in the week as teams look to plan for their final few weeks of the season.
