The old cliche about it “being the mark of champions” will be trotted out after this game, but it might just be true.
In fairness there really wasn’t a lot in this game, it’s not like Aberdeen created many chances, but they had plenty of pressure and stopped Celtic from ever taking control of the game.
A real classy team goal was the difference today, everything from the Eddy back-heel to Forrest expertly opening up the defence and picking out out Ajer for a wonderful finish, it was a goal that deserved to win any game.

It’s also worth noting that the weather was pretty dreadful at Pittodrie this afternoon so it was never going to be one for the purists.
Odsonne Edouard was a standout with his excellent first touch and the ability to attract multiple defenders, but everyone else was solid if not spectacular.
It was a true team performance to dig this one out, and the importance of this victory can be seen among the Celtic fans on Twitter:
Rough viewing but 3 points is all that matters 👍

Very tough windy conditions, far from our best all over the park.. but we find a way to win yet again.
HUGE win Bhoys 👏
That’s what a winning mentality looks like Slippy!

Starting eleven, tactics, formation and bench all wrong but individual brilliance from Eddy and Forrest for both goals have won it.
Didn’t deserve it but those wins are the sweetest.

Huge victory, horrible conditions, horrible performance but that 3 points is massive 🍀

The result also helps to pile the pressure on the Rangers as they prepare to take part in their underwater game against Livingston later on.
This could be one of those games that we look back at the end of the season and realise how vital the three points were.
