Elsewhere, Lee O’Connor has earned a call-up to the Ireland National Team. The 20-year-old defender has been on-loan at Tranmere, impressing with his performances in EFL League Two. Afolabi helped Dundee reach promotion play-offs but did not feature in either of the play-off wins over Kilmarnock.

Welsh has been impressive since establishing himself into the Celtic side this season. Welsh first made his debut last season in a win over Hamilton but backed up an impressive debut with solid displays this season, where defensive stability was thin on the ground. Welsh will be hoping to kick on under a new boss, proving that Lennon was right to introduce him into the starting XI. The Coatbridge-born youngster has made twenty-one appearances, scoring once in the win over Motherwell earlier this year.
