Celtic FC has uploaded a video on their official TikTok page featuring the massive moment Henrik Larsson put Celtic one up in the Portuguese city of Porto against Boavista in the second leg of the 2002/03 UEFA Cup semi-final which was played twenty years ago today. After missing a penalty in the first leg at Celtic Park, thus allowing Boavista leave Glasgow with a 1-1 draw, the Portuguese side were content to play for a goalless draw in their home leg, knowing that the away goal scored in Paradise could be enough to see them through to the Final in Seville.
And it was all going according to plan for Boavista until Henrik Larsson scored the goal in the 78th-minute and sending the Bhoys on to Seville for Celtic’s first European final since Milan in 1970. What a special moment that was!
