Tom Rogic named in Australia squad for World Cup Qualifiers

Tom Rogic has been named in the Socceroos squad for their upcoming World Cup Qualifiers at the beginning of September. The 28-year-old decided against playing for Australia in the summer to focus on getting himself fit for the beginning of the new season. This decision, coupled with the arrival of Ange Postecoglou, has sparked a revival of the classy playmaker.

Rogic will be part of the squad for the games against China and Vietnam. The China game is a home fixture whilst the second game of the International Break is away to Vietnam.

Rogic will be hoping that he can go off on International duty with a win over Rangers under his belt tomorrow afternoon. Thereafter, he will go back to Australia for the fixtures and hope to replicate his fine form for Celtic this season.

The midfielder looked set to exit the club this summer but the arrival of Postecoglou has reignited his career and he has played 10 games and has a goal and an assist, but has offered a lot in terms of getting forward.
