Tom Rogic set for Celtic stay

TOM ROGIC looks set for a Celtic stay after talks stalled over a potential move to Qatar. The Scottish Champions had received a bid for the 27-year-old who is nursing a slight knock; however talks have failed to progress with it becoming increasingly likely that Rogic will stay at the club.

The Scottish Sun are reporting that Rogic is happy at Celtic and doesn’t want to drop down to a lower level of football in Qatar. Neil Lennon has already said he is happy for him to stay and in doing so, this could mean that Olivier Ntcham’s exit is completed.

Despite his injury record, a fit Tom Rogic is a top player to have around. He will be hoping to get himself back into contention for the games after the international break and prove his worth to Neil Lennon. The Australian, who has spent seven years with the club, is one of the most technically gifted players at the manager’s disposal.

Elsewhere, Celtic’s recruitment drive must turn towards adding a left back and a right winger. Shame Duffy’s arrival does not equate to a replacement for Kris Ajer as Lennon may require a left footed option in central defence to allow him to play Frimpong on the right and Elyounoussi on the left of a 3-5-2.
