Tommy Burns Tribute: “The man who made us dream again”

CELTIC and Kilmarnock will pay their respects to Tommy Burns on tomorrow evening when the sides meet at Celtic Park in the penultimate league match of the season.

The Match Day programme tomorrow will be a collectors item as Celtic pay tribute to one of our most loved stars of all time. Here’s how the cover looks:

We lost Tommy to skin cancer on 15 May 2008,  he was only 51. Tommy supported Celtic all of his life and played for the club with great distinction from 1974 to 1989 before leaving to join Kilmarnock.

If you read the interview Scott Alcroft did with Kilmarnock legend Ray Montgomerie for The Celtic Star you will get a sense of the love that everyone at Rugby Park had for Tommy – he was that kind of man, very special indeed.
